Jacquie O'Keeffe is a prime example of what happens when nuns go bad. Yes you heard it here first folks, after spending a year and a half with the Daughters of St. Paul in Boston, MA, O'Keeffe decided that being a nun sucks and doing stand up comedy doesn't suck. Jacquie's intellectual humour, with a slight hint of deadpan, appeals to a wide range of audience members. Jacquie prides herself on being a clean comic with minimal to no profanities. Jacquie's comedy is based on her personal life experience and believes that the best comedy is one's personal pain transformed. Jacquie tends to deal with deep life issues that affect us all - in addition to being a nun-school flunky Jacquie's other greatest personal pain is trying to make some kind of sense out of almost becoming a 40 year virgin. She feels that most guys are intimidated when they find out that Jesus is her ex - a tough act to follow. |
