October 20, 2011: Congratulations to Amy Wilding (First place), Susan Hansen (Second), Stephanie Clark (Third) and Karin Koshack (most improved) and all the amazing finalists in the Ninth Annual Laff Riot Girls Search for the Funniest New Female Comic Competition!

December 1, 2010: Congratulations to our founder, Ardell Fitzpatrick-Brophy! She won the 2010 YWCA Woman of Distinction (Arts & Culture) Award, and in December earned the New Westminster and District Labour Council Community Service Award!

October 19, 2010: Annual Comedy Competition 2010  Our 8th Annual Competition was won by Wanda Roberts, with Lauren McGibbon and Rachel Burns as runners-up and Amy Wilding as Most Improved.

We crowned Marlene Swidzinski the winner, with Melanie Rose and Jules S. rounding out the top three! The most improved comic award was handed out that same night to Wanda Roberts by LRG founder Ardell Fitzpatrick.
